Titan Technologies Moves Headquarters to Destin Commons Office Tower

The Challenge

Titan Technologies is a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business that designs, integrates and manages innovative solutions and software applications for federal, state, and local government customers, as well as departments of education and commercial companies. Now headquartered in Destin, FL, Titan Technologies also has offices in Reston, VA; Derwood, MD; Honolulu, HI; Galveston, TX; and Houston, TX.

Formerly located in the Fort Walton Beach Industrial Park, Titan became interested in investigating new sites that could offer an upgraded setting for its employees to work and its customers to visit. There were no amenities and no hotels nearby. Accustomed to amenities, employees in other locations in the country could shop, eat, bank and go out after work within walking distance from the office.

Lack of amenities can create an environment which could make it more difficult to recruit new employees. Titan’s loyalty to their employees, some of whom have been with the company for decades, makes providing the best working environment a priority.

The county-wide search to find suitable options with amenities highlighted the lack of desirable space available. Existing buildings are old and do not meet square footage requirements. Grand Boulevard and Destin Commons both showed up in the search. Titan conducted a study to find out where their employees lived. Most of their employees do not live in Destin and the commute to Grand Boulevard would be a burden due to it being much further east and in the adjacent county.

Les Rose, CEO of Titan Technologies:

“As a modern, high-tech, comfortable corporate office space, the Destin Commons Office Tower offers all of the key attributes we were seeking for a headquarters location. We are looking forward to continuing our company’s 20-year legacy of delivering customized, transformative solutions for our clients as we move our base operations to Destin.”

The Solution

Destin Commons Office Tower was the clear winner.

Located in Destin Commons, tenants can walk to 95+ award-winning stores and restaurants. Whole Foods grocery store and Lowe’s are adjacent to the development as is Regatta Bay Golf Course and several hotels. These can be reached within minutes without entering Hwy. 98. Titan finds the amenities and convenience to hotels, attractions and the beach, a perfect environment in which to work and host clients.

Titan also appreciates the numerous high-tech elements in its offices, including video walls in the large conference room, and two secure areas for future contract work that will require cleared employees.

When asked if the Mid Bay Bridge and its tolls were an issue. Joel Lindner, VP, Total Program Management and Director of Facilities said there were no complaints from the staff concerning the commute. Traffic is only a challenge on Saturdays, so Linder feels that is also not an issue.

This six-story office tower with 90K sf of Class A space in Destin is only 10 minutes from Bluewater Bay, 20 minutes from Niceville and 32 minutes from Eglin AFB. Each floor has expansive views of the Choctawhatchee Bay, Gulf of Mexico and Regatta Bay Golf Course. An elevator lobby is located on each floor with direct access to the connected six-story, covered parking garage.

At Destin Commons Office Tower, Titan Technologies has found a headquarters location that fills its needs for employee comfort and business functionality.
