HOW TO DISINFECT A HOUSE

Covid has certainly affected each and everyone of us in one way or another, and while many businesses continue to remain on restrictions, real estate is still a GO. With that being said, it is still in the best interest of all parties to make sure each property is disinfected and clean for each prospective buyer so we can all remain safe.

No germs can stop real estate! As we become quickly accustomed to our current situation in all aspects of life, one thing has not changed...prospective real estate buyers still want to view a home in person before putting an offer in on a home.

Inventory is still at a low, while the demand for homes remains high. Combine that with interest rates that are at an all time low and you have a robust housing market. For some, the necessity may outweigh the risk of Covid while viewing or selling a home.

The common practices to view a home include a healthy seller and buyer as well as individual showings with no overlap, no children, masks on, shoes off, and hand sanitizer along the way. Other beneficial ideas are to have all switches turned on and doors open to eliminate the need for others to touch surfaces unnecessarily.

Above all, make sure to take all precautions when it comes to your health as well as others. If you are a seller and aren’t feeling well, do not let your agent schedule a showing. As a buyer, don’t go looking at houses you haven’t already researched prior to the walk through. There is no need to view a home if the neighborhood other exterior factors don’t check the boxes.
