Chad Knaepple, CCIM, is the co-founder and lead commercial agent of Taylor Allen Properties. The CCIM designation is considered the most rigorous commercial real estate professional designation to obtain due to extensive coursework, a peer-reviewed commercial portfolio, and a final comprehensive exam lasting six hours. Five years is average time to complete the CCIM designation requirements; however, Knaepple accomplished this in a record eight months. With over a decade of industry experience, Chad discovered his passion for real estate during his span in residential sales with Linda Watson Realty. From there, he transitioned to commercial sales at NBI Properties where he thrived for over three years as a top producing agent. In 2013, Chad felt the timing was right and teamed up with his wife and business partner Jen to establish Taylor Allen Properties. Chad specializes in all aspects of commercial from sales to leasing. A longtime resident of the Emerald Coast, Chad studied architecture at Louisiana State University before the Gulf of Mexico once again called him home. In 2016, Chad was elected as the Commercial Director for the Emerald Coast Association of Realtors where he currently serves as the Vice-Chair to the Commercial Committee. He was also recognized by his Peers as the “Commercial Realtor of the Year”.
“Chad successfully worked with the seller, banker, creditors and the purchaser to make sure the purchase was a smooth transaction. He’s knowledgeable about the local market, hardworking and honest. I will continue to work with Chad and Jen throughout the Northwest Florida market.” Ryan Buckley

Q: What is your favorite local spot? A: Anywhere on a boat or on the beach, preferably at sunset.
Q: What is your most amazing travel destination to date? A: There are many, but if I had to choose one place it’s Chacala, Mexico. It’s a quiet little town on the Pacific Coast that has amazing surf, wonderful local food and is a great place to relax.
Q: What is your idea of a perfect day? A: Anything that involves my family, a few friends, our sailboat and clear skies.
Q: Do you have a life motto? A: “There is no such thing as a minor lapse of integrity.” – Tom Peters
Q: Why real estate? A: I love my job. I love the thrill of negotiating a good deal for my customers. Real estate is ever-changing and I feel lucky to be able to do what I do.

Q&A with Jen
Q: What is your favorite local spot? A: Lapaz in Destin. It is like second home. I worked there through college, so it’s a nostalgic place for me.
Q: What is your most amazing travel destination to date? A: Italy. I hope to go back one day and show my husband and son all that I experienced. Charleston would be my favorite weekend getaway – amazing food town!
Q: What is your idea of a perfect day? A: A morning run with friends, followed by something fun outside to entertain my son and I followed by a nice dinner with friends.
Q: Do you have a life motto? A: I think I mostly try to do what I say I’m going to do. My Grandmother always said, “All you have is your word.” And it stuck.
Q: Why real estate? A: As a modern mom, a career in real estate has been a great way to balance work and life, and I love the juggle of it all… wife, mother, community volunteer, and entrepreneur. The industry keeps me on my toes and I love helping others navigate their investment needs.

Q&A with Jim
Q: What is your favorite local spot?
A: Indian Bayou Country Club where I can be found striving to improve my game while taking a few bucks off my golf mates!
Q: What is your most amazing travel destination to date?
A: Growing up as a “CIA brat” and then spending five years as a Naval Aviator, I have had the good fortune of ringing the world twice, and yet at the end of the day there’s still no place like home. I’m looking forward to our upcoming trip to Australia, where I have not been, to visit my oldest son Matt and his beautiful Aussie wife Steffanie.
Q: What is your idea of a perfect day?
A: A warm and sunny day at Indian Bayou Country Club shooting a round in the low 70’s, capped off with an enjoyable dinner at home with family and friends.
Q: Do you have a life motto?
A:I have always appreciated a good adage or motto, and one of my favorites is: “If you think you can do a thing or think you can’t do a thing, you’re right.” – Henry Ford
Q: Why real estate?
A:I have always valued real estate as an excellent medium for earning and maintaining wealth. It is an investment vehicle that appreciates with time and benefits from a financial leverage that is not inherent in other forms of investment. I like to help to put deals together that involve the acquisition of real estate and businesses.
